Dental implant
Dental implant
Dental implants are surgical devices placed into the jawbone that, over time, will fuse with the jawbone within a few months. The dental implant attachment looks like a screw and is intended to replace the root of a missing tooth. This artificial root can be used to hold an artificial replacement tooth or dental bridge.
Why have a dental implant?

Dental implant is indicated when the person loses the tooth and its root, and it is necessary to replace these two parts, since it is not even possible to place a denture . The dental implant is essentially a piece of titanium, which is fixed in the jawbone, under the gum, to serve as support for the placement of a tooth.

The implant dentist often makes an incision to place the dental implant and completely reconstruct the missing tooth. The procedures used are important for an aesthetic appearance faithful to the original, and to restore the lost ease of chewing.

To regain a radiant smile, you can resort to dental implants carried out by a certified expert.
What types of dental implants?
As the dental implant must be fixed in the alveolar bone, the patient must have a good quality base for treatment to be possible. When this does not happen and the person does not want to do the bone reconstruction, we can opt for another type of implant.

     Endosseous Implants

Endosseous and subperiosteal implants are selected according to the placement method.

    Single implant

The single dental implant has the ultimate advantage of its low cost.< br />

    Mini implants

Mini implants are compatible with most types of dentures.

    Juxta-osseous implants

This method is met with increasing refusal of experts say due to its high failure rate.

How is the placement of dental implants carried out?

Evaluating your teeth

The first step is assessing your needs and analyzing the bone structures of your gums.
we use advanced technologies such as bone scans, digital impressions and smile photos.

The dentist therefore takes x-rays of the teeth, jaw and head to find out everything about the positioning of the teeth, the occlusion of the jaw and aesthetics of the smile. All this for optimal results, to your complete satisfaction.

In cases where the bone structures are insufficient to receive implants, the possibility of bone grafting is considered.

The duration and cost of treatment will be determined at the end of this step.

Establishing the roots

The second stage consists of the surgical procedure to fix the dental implants. This procedure is done under local anesthesia. After the implant has been inserted into the alveolar bone, an implant abutment is fixed on the latter in order to prepare for the reception of the prosthesis.

The duration of the procedure depends on the number of implants to be installed as well as your jaw bone volume.

Healing

After the intervention comes the stage of healing, or osseointegration, that is to say the fusion of the implant with the bone of the jaw. The root is placed, but the prosthesis is not yet. During this phase of 4 to 6 months, it is possible to install temporary prostheses for aesthetic reasons.

Placement of prostheses

Now it is time to make the permanent prostheses and fit them. This step does not consist of a surgical intervention since it simply involves aiming the prosthesis into the root already placed.

Professional monitoring and care

Follow-up visits will be planned during the year following the placement of dental implants, in order to ensure their proper operation.

Replacement teeth look natural and function like real teeth. And like natural teeth, implants need to be cleaned with a toothbrush and floss!
